   8 Well, not entirely new but we are about to embark upon a spot of maintenance
   9 and some minor upgrades that could cause some disruption on the freenode
  10 network as servers are being brought down for maintenance, etc.

  13 way of global notices and wallops, depending on what we deem necessary for the
  14 interventions concerned.
