36 since i got no response on my last post concerning the 'ChanServ info
37 all'-question/bugreport, i conclude that my problem was too difficulty
38 explained. So i made an example to show what i meant:
41 1. Register a nick and a channel.
43 -
> *nickserv* register xxxxxx
44 =NickServ= Nickname mynick has been registered to you.
45 -
> *chanserv* register #mychan xxxxxx x
46 =ChanServ= Channel #mychan registered under your nickname: mynick
48 2. Reconnect to lose any identified-status and identify for the nick (not
51 -
> *nickserv* identify xxxxxx
52 =NickServ= Password accepted -- you are now recognized.
54 3. You now have founderlevel in #mychan and can change everything, also
55 founder, successor and password. Set the successor.
57 -
> *chanserv* set #mychan successor othernick
58 =ChanServ= Successor for #mychan changed to othernick.
60 4. Even as founder
"info all
" doesn't show you the successor, you were able
63 -
> *chanserv* info #mychan all
64 =ChanServ= Information for channel #mychan:
65 =ChanServ= Founder: mynick
66 =ChanServ= Description: x
67 =ChanServ= Registered: Mar

44:

68 =ChanServ= Last used: Mar

69 =ChanServ= Options: Topic Retention, Secure
70 =ChanServ= Mode lock: +nt
72 5. Only if you identify with the chanpass, you are able to really see all
75 -
> *chanserv* identify #mychan xxxxxx
76 =ChanServ= Password accepted -- you now have founder-level access to
78 -
> *chanserv* info #mychan all
79 =ChanServ= Information for channel #mychan:
80 =ChanServ= Founder: mynick
81 =ChanServ= Successor: othernick
<<<==
82 =ChanServ= Description: x
83 =ChanServ= Registered: Mar

89 The
"info all
" command works only for services-admins and
90 chanserv-identified users. For all others (including nickserv-identified
91 founders), it works like
"info
". Maybe there is some (historical) reason for
92 that, but I think, if you have the permissions to change values, you should
93 also be able to view them. Or it's just a bug. ;)
94 So i suggest to change is_identified() simply to is_founder().
