34
We run on Unreal on Serenia and are getting hit by hundreds of bots as well,
35 we've just taken and made a bot that periodicly searchs for channels with
36 these bots in it and takes over the channel, killing the bots in the
37 process. After which in enables a channel forward forcing all the bots into
38 a main channel in which we can easily pick the rest off with scripts and
41 The Fizzer worm's channels are easy to detect considering they always have
42 the channel mode format of '+slk
1000 somerandomkey'.

51 Subject: [IRCServices] Major fizzer worm problem
54 > Our IRC net is one of those targeted by the
55 > fizzer worm and we are getting huge amounts of
56 > connects. Is anyone aware of any
57 > module/fix/patch for services that we may be able
58 > to use to ban these connects? We're currently
59 > using the most recent ver. of ircservices as well
60 > as Unreal IRCd.
62 > Any help would be greatly appreciated.
