  36      I'm not sure why this error message would come up, although I do
  37 know there is a bug in versions through 4.4.9 which can cause errors
  38 to be misreported when the connection to the server fails.  Check to
  39 be sure that your ircd is running and you have specified the correct
  40 address/port in services.conf.  You may want to try using an IP
  41 address in services.conf instead of a hostname.
