  57 as my /whois indicates, my ident starts with an uppercase 'a', so it seems
  58 services dont take alex equal to Alex, which it should for hostmasks in the
  59 banlist.  If I try to unban manually, it works no matter if I use *!*Alex*@*
  60 or *!*alex*@*.

  62 Conclusion: as far as I can see, the ircd does not make a difference between
  63 the upper or lowercase letter, services seem to do so.  I doubt this is
  64 correct as that would make banevading really easy.
