  42 I feel this is better accomplished with bots local to the servers.  That way
  43 the connections will come from the same host as the user's are opening an
  44 IRC connection to (= a lot less abuse reports regarding your scanner, which
  45 piss your ISP off).  Also then the burden falls on a bot and not an ircd or
  46 services.

  48 One problem with this approach is that should some of your admins refuse to
  49 run a bot, or not be able to, then abusers will get onto your net through
  50 their ircd.
