  36 After the discussions which took place those last days on those both
  37 lists (epona mailing list, and ircservices coding mailing list), I
  38 created a new project on sourceforge [1], named servicesng (Services
  39 Next Generation).

  41 We don't know exactly what we are going to do, but the resulting work
  42 will at least include :
  43 - botserv, either built-in or as a module
  44 - SQL support for databases

  46 Furthermore, we want this project to follow an Open development model,
  47 as described in The Cathedral and the Bazaar. Everybody will be able to
  48 contribute, etc.

  50 We don't know yet how we are going to reach this point. Raised options
  51 until now are :
  52 - contribute to epona
  53 - fork ircservices
  54 - fork epona
  55 - contribute to neostats
  56 - fork neostats
  57 - start something from scratch

  59 A mailing list [2] has been created to discuss those issues. If you are
  60 interested in taking part in this project, supporting it, using it (when
  61 something will be done), or if you just like to read mail, subscribe to
  62 it. After that, read the archives [3] to know what has already been
  63 discussed.
